Day 1

Lisbon

Arrive at any time. This evening, savour a traditional Portuguese dinner and a performance of fado in one of Lisbon’s oldest neighbourhoods.

Day 2

Lisbon

Travel to the fairytale castles and hills of Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore colourful manors, medieval palaces and lush gardens, then enjoy an orientation walk and a free afternoon in Lisbon.

Lisbon → Évora

Head into the Alentejo region for a fascinating journey into the past. Visit the haunting Chapel of Bones and Diana’s Temple, one of the best-preserved Roman temples on the Iberian Peninsula.

Évora

Venture into the countryside and join a local expert at a traditional cork farm. Learn about harvesting and production, enjoy a cork stripper’s lunch, then explore Évora’s UNESCO-listed centre at your own pace.

Évora → Coimbra

Spend the day in Tomar exploring Portugal’s Crusades era. Tour the medieval Convent of Christ and Templar Castle with a local expert, then continue to Coimbra for the evening.

Coimbra → Porto

Tour historic Coimbra University, including the Porta Férra, Joanina Library, Chapel of São Miguel and Botanical Garden. Later, travel by train to Porto on the coast.

Porto

Cruise the Douro River aboard a traditional Rabelo boat, then discover Porto’s port-wine tradition with a cellar visit and tasting. Enjoy free time in the medieval Ribeira district.
